New trade name reflects service area that includes much of Georgia.

PALMETTO, Ga. (January 7, 2012) – EMC Natural
Gas, Inc, the natural gas affiliate of Coweta-Fayette Electric Membership Corporation, has changed its business name from Coweta-Fayette EMC Natural Gas to True Natural Gas. As Sawnee EMC’s gas partner since 2007, True is one of the fastest growing gas providers in Forsyth County. True is known for its unmatched customer service and some of the lowest rates available throughout Georgia.

“Coweta-Fayette EMC Natural Gas has grown considerably since its founding 10 years ago,” said Dan Hart, President and CEO of True Natural Gas. “As we have expanded, potential customers outside Coweta and Fayette have told us that our name led to confusion about whether they could even receive service from us. We have selected True Natural Gas as a name that addresses our statewide presence while better describing our commitment to customer satisfaction with clear and competitive pricing plans.”

The company was originally created to meet the natural gas needs of the EMC’s electric consumers primarily
in Coweta and Fayette Counties. However, as more customers across the state discover the convenience of switching and saving, the company chose a new name
that is relevant to all its customers throughout Georgia. 

Consumers statewide were given the ability to select the natural gas marketer of their choice when the State of Georgia deregulated natural gas service in 1998. As a result, any Georgia resident or business that receives natural gas from the Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) pipeline can select their natural gas marketer. Coweta-Fayette EMC
Natural Gas, now True Natural Gas, was founded to fill that need for Coweta-Fayette EMC customers as well as residents and businesses throughout the state.
