Northside Hospitals Recognized as Top Performers by The Joint Commission

Northside Hospital-Forsyth and Northside Hospital-Atlanta have been named two of the nation’s Top Performers on Key Quality Measures™ by The Joint Commission (TJC), the leading accreditor of healthcare organizations in America.  The two hospitals were recognized by TJC for exemplary performance and achievement in using evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.

“We strive to provide the safest care that is based on best practices resulting in consistent quality outcomes,” said Janis Dubow, chief nursing officer and vice president of Quality Improvement, Northside Hospital.  “Northside is proud to be named to the list of The Joint Commission’s Top Performers on Key Quality Measures.”

TJC recognizes accredited hospitals that obtain and sustain excellence in accountability measure performance.  Northside Hospital-Forsyth and Northside Hospital-Atlanta are among 620 hospitals being recognized for 2011 (the most recent report), representing the top 18 percent of Joint Commission accredited hospitals.
