The John Paul II Chapter of the National Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony for new members on Friday, Oct. 12, in the Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel on the Pinecrest Academy Campus. The ceremony was attended by current NHS members, families of the inductees, and all Pinecrest Academy high school students. 

The ceremony was led by Mr. Neil Nelson, Advisor to the NHS Chapter. Fr. Richard Sutter, LC, Pinecrest Chaplain, gave the opening prayer, and Fr. Robert Presutti, LC, Head of School, provided opening remarks. The induction ceremony was conducted by NHS Co-Presidents Clare Kelley (Kristine Kliphouse served as substitute) and Trey Toms.

Other NHS Officers provided a description of the four qualities necessary for NHS membership, which are: Scholarship (Jimmy Kemper); Service (Austin Ward); Leadership (Paloma Carroll for Olivia Fleck); and Character (Trey Toms).

Fr. Robert and Mr. Nelson presented Inductees with NHS membership cards and pins. Mrs. Jocelyn Sotomayor, Assistant Principal of the High School, gave closing remarks. The Pinecrest Academy Parents Association (PAPA) hosted a reception for inductees and their families afterward in the Upper School Gym Atrium.
