Forsyth County Deputy Sheriff William Sessa has been named the South Precinct's Deputy of the Month for November.

A part of the Sheriff's Office since 2009, Deputy Sessa was honored for his outstanding work and the excellent customer service he provides.  

Deputy Sessa was also recognized for his unique ability to detect deception.  On at least three recent occasions, he has made routine traffic stops for simple infractions and has been able to make numerous felony arrests for drug and firearm violations as well. As a result of these arrests, several illegally-owned firearms and a large amount of marijuana and other illegal drugs have been taken off the streets.

During the year each Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Precinct recognizes a Deputy of the Month.  At the end of each year, a Deputy of the Year is selected from the 12 monthly award winners.
