3-Vehicle Accident in North Forsyth Sends 4 to Hospital

One driver was cited for following too closely.

A three-vehicle accident on GA 400 Thursday evening during rush hour sent four people to the hospital for injuries they received in the crash.

Robin Stone of the Georgia State Patrol told Cumming Patch today that around 6:07 p.m. on April 11, two vehicles were traveling northbound in the left lane, while a third vehicle was heading in the same direction in the right lane.

As traffic congestion forced them to slow down, one of the vehicles in the left lane rear-ended the other vehicle sharing that lane. The impact caused the car that was hit to cross over into the right lane, striking the left side of the third vehicle. That impact also sent the first two vehicles into the cable median barrier, where they both came to a stop.

The victims who were injured included Emily Thomas, 23, of Tuscaloosa, AL, who was the driver of vehicle one, a 2004 Acura Integra. She was taken to North Fulton Hospital with unspecified injuries. Stone said Thomas was cited for following too closely.

Goodman Moore, 65, of Gainesville, who drove the second car, a 2010 Ford Fusion, along with his passengers, Nancy Moore, 66, also from Gainesville, and Connie Moore, 39, of Dahlonega, were taken to North Fulton with unspecified injuries.
