A Week of Engagement Proclaimed in Forsyth County

Residents are being called upon to engage in Civic Participation Week.

It's Civic Participation Week in Forsyth County beginning today (Labor Day) through Friday, Sept. 7.

During the next five days residents are encouraged to participate within the community by volunteering their time and talent, contributing to worthy organizations or causes, and communicating their ideas.

“During this week, American democracy and civic participation will be showcased in honor of the courageous spirit of the American people, and tribute will be paid to those souls lost in the fight for freedom of the American people,” said Commission Chairman Jim Boff as he read from the Resolution.

The Board of Commissioners proclaimed Civic Participation Week during last month's BOC meeting.

How will you be giving back to the community this week?
