Cain to Appear With Gingrich in Cumming on Saturday

The former candidate also will be on the scene at South Forsyth High School.

Herman Cain, the Atlanta-based Republican who ended his presidential bid in December, will appear with Newt Gingrich at his campaign stop Saturday in Cumming.

Cain threw his support behind Gingrich in January.

"They're political soul mates," said Susan Meyers, Gingrich's Southeast Communications Director. "Herman has endorsed Newt and he wants to lend his support as Newt does his first campaign swing through Georgia getting ready for Super Tuesday."

The event will be held in the cafeteria at South Forsyth High School (585 Peachtree Parkway) and is scheduled to begin promptly at 10 a.m. – doors open at 9 a.m. The event will be open to the public.

Gingrich's appearance in his former home state comes as the March 6 primary is nearing, and 10 other states are scheduled to hold primary elections that day. Most major polls show Gingrich running behind Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum (who is scheduled to appear on Sunday at First Redeemer Church at 6:30 p.m.) in the quest to oppose President Obama in November. A New York Times delegate count shows Gingrich in third place.

This would have (an should have) been the Republican "dream team", except in reverse. Cain w/ Gingrich as his VP running mate. Unfortunately, the Republican establishment didn't realize that they needed Cain to bring in a hefty portion of the black vote. It was a way that would allow them to vote against Obama, while still remaining true to their race (as if saving their country wasn't enough reason).

May God give us one more chance to set things right and save our land.

Gingrich is very receptive to libertarianism when it comes to matters of moral behavior, but most of the bad votes he cast in office were the product of his contempt for limited and constitutional government.

I like Cain as a radio announcer, but 9 wings, a 9 inch pizza, for $9 with a FREE liter of Dr. Pepper does not need to be anywhere near government.

People....People....

The goal here is to save our nation. It has come down to that - period. When two men, one a successful businessman with lots of common sense, and the other a politically savvy patriot who has proven himself to be feared by both parties as one who they will be unable to "control", cannot team up together for the sake of our collective survival, then all is lost.

You can disparage Cain and Gingrich all you want to with political correctness and self aggrandizing. But by doing so, you will get four more years of Obama, which we simply will not survive. Your call......

Dennis - What was disparaging? It was all truth.
