Cindy Mills Receives Endorsement from Rep. Graves
District 4 County Commissioner candidate Cindy J. Mills receives support from Rep. Tom Graves.
Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-09) announced in a press release Monday his endorsement for District 4 County Commissioner candidate Cindy J. Mills.
“Cindy Jones Mills understands what it takes to run a business, create private-sector jobs, balance a budget and meet tough deadlines -- that’s key for Forsyth County,” said Congressman Tom Graves. “Cindy Jones Mills will stand up for taxpayers and place principles above politics. She is the right kind of leader for Forsyth County."
Mills and incumbent Patrick Bell head for a runoff on Aug. 21 following last week's elections. Mills received 44.16 percent or 2,538 votes, while Bell received 26.71 percent or 1,535 votes.
“I am both humbled and honored to receive the endorsement of Rep. Tom Graves,” said Mills. "Working together with other conservative leaders, I will focus on delivering a clear path to economic revitalization.”
According to the press release, Mills is a lifelong Forsyth County resident and a product of the American dream. She has a record of being a principled conservative with a passion for faith, family and service. A small-business owner, Mill’s campaign has been focused on fostering private-sector job creation, reducing wasteful government spending and preserving Forsyth’s community heritage while also planning for its vibrant future.
“Early in life, my parents taught me the virtues of hard work, perseverance and integrity,” said Mills. “These values have been at the core of my campaign and will continue to guide me once elected to the Board of Commissioners.”

I wonder how much the Jones family will have to ante up for Grave's re-election effort for this endorsement. I am not a Bell fan but this endorsement make me leary.

How about not one penny Kevin Anthony? Tom offered his endorsement to Cindy. He, like her, believes in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and conservative values. Only Bell fans will see this endorsement as anything but positive.

Gary Cooper, the webmaster and social media volunteer for Cindy Mills, may have a point. Tom Graves may have seen in Cindy something he liked or something that reminded him of himself when he entered politics. There has been a saying bantered around that would be very appropriate for this endorsement, "Birds of a feather flock together."
Tom is now famous (or infamous) about his crack hotel purchase made just before the DOT announced it was going to do a road project that would acquire some of that land. Tom had the inside track on this DOT deal and used it to his own financial benefit. Sadly, for Tom, the project was put on hold and our upstanding Congressman defaulted on a 2 million loan, after transferring assets to his 4 or 5 year old son. Good old "personal accountability" Tom told the bank to stuff it and walked, saying the bank should have known better than to loan him money.
Ah yes, a perfect endorsement! One that has already looted the system on a land deal is pushing for another one just like him to get elected. Now that's the good old boy political system at work!

I'm even more concerned about Cindy Mills getting elected now since Tom Graves, the dead beat, has endorsed her. Tom shirked responsibility on a $2,000,000.00 loan for some crack hotel. His latest excuse was the bank sould have known better than to loan him money! LMAO!!! How about you tell the bank that and see how far you get!! Tom's idea of running a business is sticking it to a small town bank and we surely don't want his endorsed candidate in office!
Then again, Cindy is the lady that, e-hem, forgot to list her affiliation with a corporation she started with Mary Helen McGruder. Cindy tried to sell her families golf course to the county and Cindy is also the one that skipped all the rules and had Chairman Laughinghouse make her land sale pitch to the board of commissioners. That got her a cool $100,000!!
Yeah, she is right in there with Tom Graves and his buddy Chip Rogers on how politicians expect special treatment! Now that I think it over, this could not be a better endorsement. Three peas in a crooked pod!

Ah J.Redd, still spouting your nonsense and lies about Cindy I see. Let's see, the affiliation thing is a dead horse since Cindy corrected the honest mistake of not reporting it. Can't say she was hiding anything since she listed this affiliation on her website from the very beginning. Second, the whole golf course thing was a flat out lie from Patrick Bell to begin with. Cindy had nothing to do with that as it was a political maneuver between Patrick Bell and the owners of the golf course. I do believe Patrick's former political consultant and one of the owners of the golf course have already corrected this falsehood with Patrick himself. And let's not forget that one lie that cannot seem to die in the form of the park land purchase. Seriously, no rules were skipped, the entire board at one point - including Patrick Bell - supported the park purchase, and the county attorney says nothing illegal or unethical was done by Cindy Mills or the county. Cindy explained this on the Focus on Forsyth Facebook page back in November and Patrick Bell himself vouched for her detail of events. Again, no rules broken, Patrick himself approved at the time, and of course not one single complaint was brought forward during the entire process. This is nothing but a cooked up story because the incumbent can't stand on his own record.
So please J.Redd do us all a favor and come up with some new talking points and how about start asking Patrick Bell about his ethical issues.

Gary Cooper, how about coming clean and telling everyone that you are the webmaster and social media volunteer for Cindy's campaign. Then tell everyone that you supported David Richard in his losing bid to get re-elected in 2008. At least then they will know in what spirit your comments are made.
I saw the letter, signed by Cindy, offering the golf course to the county. That is enough proof for me that she wanted to sell it to the taxpayers. Why don't you put the letter on Cindy;s website for all to see? They can make their own call on it then.
On that park land purchase you so easily dismiss Cindy used her inside track to get Charlie Laughinghouse to take it to the board in a closed session. Nobody else got this special treatment. Cindy tried to slip some easements into the deal without telling anyone until Brian Tam caught her. It was quite a fight I hear as she called him a liar and he maintain she tried to slip one past the board. I did something you have probably never done, I called the commissioner and asked about him vouching for her account. He says he said her recollection was accurate but he has never said it was right for her to use her influence to skip past those on the waiting list.
I don't think you are communicating the entire statement from the county attorney. Again, as Cindy's webmaster, why don't you scan the entire email you have referenced and put it up on her website for all to see and judge on their own?

J. Redd, come clean? I don't think it was ever hidden who I supported and what I have done to help Cindy. The fact that you think I was hidden just shows how out of touch you really are. As for the email you reference from the county attorney, how about you actually read it and the dates associated with it? You might find that it wasn't addressing the park purchase that Cindy was involved in and was addressing another matter from another board member.
Now about the golf course. How about you go to the website and read the letter from the former consultant to Patrick Bell. He spells out the entire sequence of events and addresses Cindy's role in the matter. Or better yet, why don't you go and speak with one of the owners of that golf course and he will tell you the real story. But I digress, you obviously view things thru Bell colored glasses and nothing I or others say will keep you from trolling this site.

Well Mr. Cooper I would love to read the email but you nor your candidate will make it available. Can you publish the email on Cindy's website?
If the email was not addressing the park purchase does that mean she did not have some kind of opinion on the land she sold to the county? You know the one, she raked on over $100,000 on that deal.

I find it disconcerting that a very unnecessary endorsement was shared. I guess Patrick Bell is the better candidate.

Just a guess - J. Redd = Brant Meadows????
Writing styles are identical!
Why is it that people hide behind these avatars? Perhaps they don't want to burn bridges with someone who is definitely going to be elected? I call it cowardice!

Hal, why do you worry so much about who I am instead of the message? The message must be hard for you to answer so you toss out a red herring about identities? How about having your candidate answer the questions? Post the letter from the county attorney, in full, and let people decide. Post the information that was requested about the non-profit and how many kids they help.
You guys are all the same! Your candidate has no qualities to offer and you go silent when you are asked to provide proof. This is exactly the way Cindy reacts and this will be the way she is if elected. Got a tough issue to address? Cindy will go underground and ignore the questions, hoping they will go away. Trust me, I have dealt with her for years and years and I know what I am talking about. The fact that she has refused to answer any question put to her on this or any other site is proof that I am right.

Tom Graves has stated whom he thinks will best represent the citizens of his present Congressional district. It is a simple fact that nearly 75% of the incumbent's constituents found him unfit to return to the office he has repeatedly disgraced. The choice is very clear for most people and despite the desperate rantings of J. Redd, Mike Kennedy,Wade Sullivan etc that fact is not going to change.
