In it's 17th year, this year's fair organizers are promising an event with more rides, more exhibits, and discounted tickets and admission.

How discounted? Well, to begin with, there will be a Student Night, Senior Citizens Day, Kids Day, and Football Night, all with free admission to those who qualify. Opening Night will feature a special pay-one-price ride ticket for $18, and free admission compliments of Northside Hospital-Forsyth.

"It makes it much easier to have an affordable day of fun and rides, especially in this economy," said Cumming resident LeeAnne Egolf. "It's nice to hear that there are still places to take the family for the day without worrying if people can afford it or not."

Entertainment hasn't taken a back seat, either. This year, country favorite Charlie Daniels Band will perform, as well as Marty Stewart and The Superlatives and Joe Nichols. Bands will take the stage at 8 p.m. on their respective nights.

Tracy Helms, Event Coordinator for The Cumming Fairgrounds, was particularly optimistic about the newest event, The American Bullriders Tour.

"Bullriding is very popular, so we are going to give it a shot and see how it does," he said.

Kim Corbett is counting down the days with her sons, Ben and Will. "To say my kids love the fair is an understatement. We will definitely go, more than once, and we will probably go home faces painted and exhausted, but it will be worth every minute spent with my kids, making memories!"

Admission:
Adults - $7.00
Students (5-18) - $3.00
4 and Under - Free!!!
Parking - $3.00
