Cumming Pastor Pulled Over at Gunpoint by Police
The pastor of God's House of Prayer in Cumming was let go after the mistaken identity was realized.
A Cumming pastor was pulled over at gunpoint by Alpharetta Police after leaving SharpShooters gun range in Roswell when they mistook him for an armed robber on Feb. 16, reports wsbtv.com.
God's House of Prayer Pastor Boyd Allen was with two friends on Alpharetta Highway when one of the friends realized they had left a newly purchased gun on top of the car and got out to retrieve it. Seeing the gun on top of the car, a concerned witness called police and that's what caused the confusion, according to the wsbtv.com report.
A dispatcher put out a lookout for the pastor's vehicle "for armed robbery and assault," says the report.
After the Allen was cuffed on the ground, the mistake was realized and he was let go. But he told wsbtv.com the incident still haunts him and he's considering hiring an attorney.

"....... Seeing the gun on top of the car, a concerned witness called police......" Did the witness tell the police he/she saw a crime committed? That is who should be sued, if anyone at all. The police were doing their job.

I guess all that will get worked out, but think of something that could have gone terribly wrong, that gun could've fallen off the roof, to be found later by a child that may have pulled the trigger and killed themselves or someone else. Not that far-fetched.

Same thing happen to myself with Rockdale County police officers in my 3 year old daughter was in the car and other younger siblings take me as a suspect that I was it and I was handcuffed as well and pulled over a gun point I'm still trying to pursue the incident that happened to me trying to get my story heard police officers need to be more carefully how to handle situations only if the situation would have went wrong only God knows what this world is coming too
