Races:
Local:
- Sheriff: Challenger Duane Piper narrowly defeated incumbent Sheriff Ted Paxton during a runoff election on Aug. 21. Now Piper will face write-in candidate D.T. Smith, a lieutenant colonel with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, on Nov 6.
State:
National:
- U.S. Representative: Doug Collins who won the majority vote during a runoff election on Aug. 21 will represent Republicans in the U.S. House from the 9th district, which includes the northern part of Forsyth County. Collins faces Democrat Jody Cooley on Nov. 6.
Republican incumbent Rob Woodall and his opponent Democrat Steve Reilly are vying for the District 7 seat, which includes the southern half of Forsyth.

- Polling locations: Polls in Forsyth County will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Super Tuesday. Go here to find your precinct and voting locations throughout the county.
If you are unsure of where you need to vote call 770.781.2118, ext. 9, for more details or check the county website. Voters must bring one of the six acceptable forms of photo identification. There is no Absentee, Early or Advance Voting the Monday prior to any election.
Ballot Issues
- Ballot Question 1: "Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended to allow state or local approval of public charter schools upon the request of local communities?"
- Ballot Question 2: "Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended so as to provide for a reduction in the state's operating costs by allowing the General Assembly to authorize certain state agencies to enter into multiyear rental agreements?"
