These numbers don't add up. The following races were in 25 districts and the total number of votes vary significantly...
Sheriff - 27,482
Coroner - 24,408
Chief Magistrate - 27,406
TSplost - 30,792
State Senate 27th - 26,447
Where are the other votes? And why on earth did it take Forsyth longer to count 30,000 votes than it took Atlanta to count 300,000?

Greetings,
The votes are from the Georgia Election Results website: http://results.enr.clarityelections.com/GA/Forsyth/40437/94265/en/summary.html - they do not include provisional ballots. The results are also unofficial until Friday at 4:30 p.m. as stated in the article. As far as why it took longer to count votes than Atlanta I will refer you to the Forsyth County Voter Registrations & Elections Department.
Thank you for your comment.

You are allowed to not vote for any particular race if you don't want to. That could account for the discrepancies in the numbers. I know I left some races blank on mine.....

Peach, people leave blank choices all the time, especially in the non-contested races. Also keep in mind that we also have non-partisan and Democratic ballots in the county and that is why the numbers are different.

Whether Democrat or Republican, I would have liked the opportunity to vote for my sheriff.

Peggy, these are party primaries. The Sheriff candidates are running as Republican candidates so they appear only on the GOP Primary ballot.
