In Memoriam: Lt. Col. (Ret.) Kenneth Lee Coykendall, 89
He and his beloved wife, Bernice had known each other since they were 10-years-old.
Lt. Col. (Ret.) Kenneth Lee Coykendall, 89, of Cumming, died on March 19, 2013. Born in Detroit, MI he was the son of the late Lee and Lettie Coykendall. His brother, Lorne Coykendall also predeceased him.
Colonel Coykendall retired from the Air Force. During his career, he flew 61 missions behind enemy lines, flew a C-47 and was a jet pilot instructor. Following retirement, he was involved in real estate. He and his beloved wife, Bernice had known each other since they were 10-years-old.
In addition to his wife, Bernice, Colonel Coykendall is survived by his children, Kenneth (Janice) Coykenall of Seattle, WA, Gail Harris of St. Augustine, FL, Linda Coykendall of Aliso Viejo, CA and Susan (Craig) Rattleff of Cumming; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with full honors will be held at noon on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
