Sandy Bascome Ford, 57, of Dawsonville, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Northside Hospital-Forsyth in Cumming with his family by his side. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved to hunt and be outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Danny Ford and father Bascome Ford.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 38 years Cyndi Ford of Dawsonville; sons, Eric and Katie Ford of Dahlonega, Jason Ford of Dawsonville; parents, Bascome Ford and Louise and Ed Nelson; brothers, Randy Ford, Bobby Nelson and Tony Nelson; sisters, Lynn Quick, Susan Ford, Burndy Fleenor, Crickett Hosseini, Pam Mullinax and Donna Nelson; grandchildren, Alyssa Ford and Alaina Ford; 15 nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday March 17 at 2 p.m. at the McDonald and Son Chapel with the Rev. Jim Dwiggins officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
