"Show Me Your Boobs" Comment Lands Man in Jail

A former handyman has been charged with two counts of child molestation following an alleged incident at a local skating rink.

A 53-year-old man is sitting in jail for allegedly propositioning two young girls at a local skating rink on Sept. 22, according to an incident report from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Ricky Russell Westbrooks, the suspect, is charged with two counts of child molestation following a complaint by the mother of one of the young girls.

The incident report states, the mother dropped her daughter and her daughter’s friend off at Let's Roll Fun 'n Skate Center located in Cumming around 7 that night. Shortly thereafter, she received a phone call from her daughter stating that a male employee at the skating rink asked the girls to "show them their boobs" in exchange for some glow sticks. The girls left the area after the alleged incident and contacted the mother to come pick them up.

A phone call to the owners of Let's Roll prompted this statement to Cumming Patch.

We are shocked and saddened that this incident took place in our facility. Our main mission in our facility is to provide a safe family environment to all our patrons and employees and we will continue to make every effort to do so now and in the future.

We conducted an immediate investigation upon learning of the allegations and at no time were the young girls left in a closed door room with Mr. Westbrooks. Our Manager spoke with the girls and Mr. Westbrooks separately, during our manager’s investigation, and one of the girls contacted their parents immediately.

While this investigation is being conducted, we have immediately terminated Mr. Westbrooks employment. Mr. Westbrooks has denied the accusation that the girls made claim of and stated he said to the girl "bust a move".

We have the utmost confidence that Forsyth County Sheriff's Dept. will investigate this situation thoroughly and they have our fullest cooperation.

Sincerely,

Trey Butler,
Owner Let's Roll Skate 'n Fun Center

Karleen Chalker with the FCSO said in an e-mail to Cumming Patch that Westbrooks was not a registered sex offender. She also explained the charges.

"The molestation charge was used because he had the girls do something that would elicit sexual gratification," she said.

Westbrooks remains in the Forsyth County Detention Center.
