More Than $2K Raised in 20th Annual Toy Run
The 20th Annual Buck Jones Memorial Toy Run raises more than $2,000 for non-profit groups in Forsyth, Dawson and Lumpkin counties.
It was another successful ride as more than 300 motorcycle enthusiasts gathered together at the Cumming Fairgrounds for the Buck Jones Memorial Toy Run on an overcast Sunday.
Now in its 20th year, more than $2,000 in cash donations was raised, along with a plethora of unwrapped toys that will go to non-profit groups in Forsyth, Dawson and Lumpkin counties, according to Teeka Curtis of Bikers Dream of Atlanta, a co-sponsor of the run.
Escorted by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, the fee for being in the run was one new unwrapped toy per stop and there were three stops along the way.
The other sponsors of the event included, Dawsonville Pool Room and Southland's Full Throttle.
Cumming Patch caught up with the line of riders as they were making their way from the Cumming Fairgrounds heading north on Highway 9. See the video above.
