Canton Man, 52, Killed While Trimming Tree

Cherokee County authorities have confirmed the identity of a man killed Friday morning while trimming trees in his front lawn.

Atlanta Police Seek Help to Identify Beauty Store Robbers
- East Atlanta Patch

The Atlanta Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying two men who robbed the Eden's Beauty Supply store at 122 Cleveland Ave. in the Swallow Circle-Baywood community.

The Oct. 30 incident was captured on store surveillance cameras and investigators are asking for help in identifying the men seen on video. Visit East Atlanta Patch for more on this story.


Waffle House CEO Accused of Forcing Assistant to Perform Sex Acts
Buckhead Patch

The Atlanta Police Department is investigating allegations that Waffle House CEO Joe W. Rogers Jr. of Buckhead repeatedly forced an Acworth woman to perform sex acts on him during her time as Rogers' personal assistant.

According to the Marietta Daily Journal, which first reported the investigation, Mye Brindle worked out of Rogers' Buckhead home as his assistant from 2003 until May 2012. It was at that Chatham Road home that the 43-year-old single mother said most of the alleged acts occurred, according to an incident report that the Atlanta Police Department e-mailed to Acworth Patch.
