Police Searching for Suspect Who Robbed Buckhead Bank Wednesday - Buckhead Patch

Homicide in Austell Wednesday Night - South Cobb Patch
Cobb County Police are investigating a homicide in Austell that happened Wednesday evening.
According to investigators, the Cobb County Emergency Communications Center dispatched officers from Zone 2 to a shooting which occurred inside a residence in the 1500 block of Pine Circle.
When officers arrived, they discovered the body of a dead male with a gunshot wound. Detectives have identified the victim as 23-year-old Justin Mitchell of Austell. See South Cobb Patch for more details, such as the two suspects were wearing beanie hats.
Angie Cornett Resigns from the Bartow School Board - Cartersville Patch
Bartow County school board District 3 rep and vice chairman Angie Cornett today resigned her position on the board of education, Superintendent John Harper said. The move follows Cornett's arrest on a reckless conduct charge for allegedly striking a system student in the Carterville Walmart parking lot.
