Where is the best place in town to take Mom for Mother's Day brunch?

The Foster House, located at 305 W. Main Street in downtown Cumming, is a charming 19th century style home built in 1887 and refurbished in 2003, to become a southern-style dining and special events facility.

Amanda Davis, owner and executive chef, thanks the readers for voting for the Foster House.

"I really appreciate it," she said. "Our Mother's Day buffet has become a tradition."

The lineup of food on mom's special day includes, fried chicken, ham, cornbread dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, cream corn, coleslaw, turnip greens, pinto beans, strawberry salad, rolls and cornbread, plus banana pudding, peach cobbler and chocolate cake.

Davis says it's definitely a true southern meal. And the price is right, $14.95 for adults; children between 6 and 10 are $7.95 and children 5 and under are free.

"We do suggest reservations for Mother's Day," Davis added.
