Saint Brendan's Preschool Wins Cumming Patch Readers' Choice

Which local preschool did you say is the favorite in Cumming? Here are the results!

In our fourth week of Cumming Patch Readers' Choice – we asked you to decide which local preschool is the majority favorite in the community.

And the winner...Saint Brendan the Navigator Preschool!

The Catholic church's preschool received 37 percent or 825 of the votes.

Preschool Director Jodi Brock said she was honored, thrilled and excited to hear the news.

"I am so proud of all of the families here, all the teachers and the children," she said. "Their the ones that make it the way it is."

The faith based preschool, located at 4633 Shiloh Road in south Forsyth County, has an enrollment of 225 children and has been in the community for 12 years.

Here are some of the comments the preschool received this week:

We love St Brendan's!!! - Jennifer H.

We are in our 7th and last year at St Brendan's Preschool. Both of our boys have grown so much through their faith based, nurturing environment. SBPS maintains a perfect balance between education and expiration through play to help the children grow and learn. - Bridget

St Brendan's preschool is the best. I have two of my three children there, my third will be there as soon as he is old enough. Love, love, love it. - Buffy H.

St Brendan's preschool is the best preschool! We have been there since 2007 when my son was 2 and are now on our third child there! We absolutely love the staff and quality preschool education that our children have received! When my oldest started kindergarten he was well above where he should have been for being one of the youngest in his grade level! Love St Brendan's! - Tabitha R.

Coming in second was Pinecrest Academy with 30 percent (679 votes) and in third was Cumming First United Methodist Church with 22 percent (505 votes).

The voting was based on a combination of poll votes cast, article comments and directory reviews.

Next week, Patch is looking for the "Best Places to Get Sweet Tea" in town! The voting begins at 9 a.m. on Monday.
