DESCRIPTION:Master Mende\, a sixth degree black belt\, will host the inau
 gural 2012 &ldquo\;Battle against Hunger&rdquo\; American Taekwondo  Ass
 ociation (ATA) Regional Tournament. ATA schools from all over the  South
 east and students of all ages and skill levels will be executing  martia
 l arts performances. There will also be Combat Weapons Division performa
 nces and all levels of sparing including black belts.&nbsp\; A portion o
 f the proceeds from the event will help support Children&rsquo\;s Restor
 ation Network&rsquo\;s Thanksgiving Food Drive. We  are encouraging atte
 ndees to bring non-perishable food donations to  support the food drive 
 and they will be entered into a raffle. \nMany  of the shelters and grou
 p homes we work with have very limited budgets  and do not have the fund
 s needed to provide a bountiful meal on  Thanksgiving Day. In addition t
 o the Thanksgiving meal\, we also want to  stock their food pantries wit
 h enough food to last through the holiday  season. According to the Nati
 onal Center on Family Homelessness\, homeless children go hungry at twic
 e the rate of other children with 57% of homeless kids spending at least
  one day every month without proper food. Children  that continually go 
 hungry often have poor health\, behavioral and  emotional problems\, and
  difficulties in socializing with peers. Our goal is to provide 200+ tur
 keys with all the trimmings&nbsp\;for children living in shelters and gr
 oup homes&nbsp\;and fill their pantries for the Holidays!\nAll sponsorsh
