The Healthcare Provider course is an approximately 4 hour certification course that is designed for those who care for patients in a wide variety of settings both in and out of the hospital. This course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device using supplemental oxygen), the use of an AED in adults and children, and relief of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction in responsive and unresponsive patients of all ages.

Students should be aware that training sessions are in a practice while watching format. Students also should dress in casual clothing due to the fact that training sessions will involve close physical contact with manikins that will be used by fellow classmates. Students should notify the instructor prior to class if allergic to latex or in the stages of pregnancy.
