Fun Day at Save the Horses Farm
1786 Newt Green Rd, Cumming, GA | Get Directions »
$5.00
SaveTheHorses.org is having a fun-raiser to support the rescued horses and the Barn Buddy Program for foster children from 12:30 until 4 p.m.
Children of all ages are invited to go on an Easter Egg Hunt starting promptly at 2 p.m. There is a $5 admission charge to cover the cost of eggs and candy and free parking.
Rescued horses have abuse and neglect issues like children in foster care. These children learn to trust and have fun spending time with these horses. They understand their own feelings better because they empathize with the horse’s situation. It is a win-win situation for all involved.
"What a better place to have the kids find Easter Eggs then on a real farm", said Kelly Barrett, a recent visit to the farm."
"It gives my children a place to see horses and other farm animals," said Lea Yost of Dawsonville. "Living in the city has become so sterile they feel free to run at the Save The Horses event."
Save The Horses Rescue was established in 1998. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for all horses, thereby improving the lives of people through their bond with the horses (The Barn Buddy Program). Horses are naturally social and want to interact with whom ever they are with, horse or human or both. Children enjoy interacting as well and interacting with horses brings such empowerment to children, it changes their lives.
