DESCRIPTION:The Heartsaver first aid with CPR and AED course teaches how 
 to manage illnesses and injuries in the first few minutes until professi
 onal help arrives. Course content includes General principles\, Medical 
 Emergencies\, injury emergencies\, CPR\, the use of an Automated Externa
 l Defibrillator (AED) and environmental emergencies.\nThis course is des
 igned for those who have a duty to respond because of job responsibiliti
 es or regulatory requirements. Students are advised that training sessio
 ns require close physical contact with manikins that will be used by oth
 er classmates. Students should notify the instructor prior to class if a
 llergic to latex or in the stages of pregnancy.
