 ll discover how public speaking\, note taking\, grammar\, mechanics and 
 usage rules\, and proper writing skills relate to effective communicatio
 n in general. Families will have the opportunity to choose between topic
 s generated by NGWA or those already being studied at home to produce co
 llege level writing and to prepare for a successful collegiate experienc
 e. The composition component of this Literature/Composition Class will f
 ocus upon Expository\, Persuasive\, and Research Skills and will weave g
 rammar skills\, vocabulary enrichment\, and peer and self editing techni
 ques all throughout. Homework will be necessary and will range from 1 to
  2 hours per week\, depending on the type of writing assignment given fo
 r that week.  Class is best suited for students age 14+.
