DESCRIPTION:Cumming\, GA &ndash\; According the most recent census\, Fors
 yth County has over 12\,000 adults who do not have a high school or gene
 ral equivalency diploma (GED). Now\, thanks to Literacy Forsyth\, adults
  seeking their GED can do so a little closer to home.\nLiteracy Forsyth 
 has partnered with Little Mill Middle School to offer the community free
  general equivalency degree (GED) classes. The classes began in February
  and are ongoing.\n&ldquo\;We believe it&rsquo\;s important to help peop
 le get their GED because it improves our community overall\,&rdquo\; Ann
 aliza Thomas\, executive director of Literacy Forsyth said. &ldquo\;With
  a GED\, people have access to more of the things that keep families hea
 lthy\, happy and safe.&rdquo\;\nThomas added that the program will also 
 offer students help beyond the GED exam such as applying to technical sc
 hool or assistance with job search and resume workshops.\nPotential stud
 ents can find out more about the program from 5 &ndash\; 5:30 p.m.at Lit
 tle Mill Middle School on Thursdays. Prior registration is not necessary
  and students can register and begin studying the same day. All the clas
