DESCRIPTION:For the 24th year\, Northside Hospital-Forsyth will honor tho
 se affected by cancer with the lighting of the giant Christmas tree atop
  its campus in Cumming. The tree will be lit Saturday\, Dec. 1\, with a 
 free community celebration from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.\nThis annual holi
 day tradition is expected to bring together more than 3\,000 people and 
 will include entertainment from Settles Bridge Elementary\, Haw Creek El
 ementary\, Born to Dance\, Pine Grove Middle School\, the Sawnee Ballet\
 , Coal Mountain Elementary and Forsyth Central High School\; photos with
  Santa Claus and many other activities for the kids. For the sixth conse
 cutive year\, WSB-TV anchor Fred Blankenship will serve as the emcee.\nA
  National Cancer Institute Community Cancer Center\, Northside Hospital 
 is one of the largest and most respected providers of comprehensive canc
 er services in the Southeast\, combining the latest in technology and re
 search with compassionate patient-centered care. Each light on the Chris
 tmas tree represents someone whose life has been touched by cancer. Ligh
 ts can be purchased and designated in honor or memory of physicians\, fa
 mily and friends\, with all proceeds benefiting research\, education and
  treatment through Northside&rsquo\;s Cancer Institute. Lights will be a
 vailable for purchase at the Celebration of Lights event on Dec. 1 and t
