First Redeemer is a church with a huge following in Cumming. They offer a large campus, complete with multiple classrooms, recreational areas and a coffee shop. The church has more than 160 ministries, including those for youth, seniors, men and women.  They have strong music and missions programs.

The founding pastor is Dr. Richard Lee, a noted author and public speaker. As Southern Baptists, the congregation believes the Bible is the inherent word of God, and that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. They practice communion through the Lord's Supper and practice baptism by immersion.
