A Veteran's Day Freedom Rally will be held Sunday, Nov. 11, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The rally will be held at the Central Park Recreation Center located at 2300 Keith Bridge Rd, off Georgia 400 (Exit 17). Turn west on Keith Bridge Road, park entrance 1/2 mile on the left. Follow the signs to the recreation center.

The rally will honor military service men and women who actively defended the freedoms of America.

Scheduled speakers include:

James Campbell, two-term Korean veteran

Sheri Gilligan, retired NGA Manager, Intelligence Analyst

Roger Fitzpatrick, Marine Corps/Reserves, District 9 Contender

A flag presentation will be give by Boy Scouts Troup 3740 and patriotic music provided by Alice Bryan and Nancy Smith.

All donations support the wounded warriors.

Conveniently located west of Georgia 400 on Keith Bridge Road in Cumming, this park, built in 2001, includes 85 acres of fields, trails and woods. From soccer fields to softball fields, tennis courts to a 27-hole disc golf course, Central Park has something for people of all ages. Additionally, the park features a mountain biking trail, playground, picnic pavilion and walking/running trails. You'll also notice the North Precinct of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and the Central Park Recreation Center located within the park.
