Everyone's wish is granted at the end of Act One\, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them la ter\, with disastrous results. I have seen Into the Woods so many times and have directed it three times in my career. I had acce pted the fact that I would never do it again because I had become so dis illusioned by all of the versions I now see. So many people do Act I onl y. Sondheim has an incredible message in this show and it deserves to be told as he intended. This summer I had an opportunity to see the show i n a whole new light and fell in love with the show again. Same great sho w but with a few little twist to style and sets that make the show an in credible experience. I have chosen to use a child as the narrator to mak e the story more relatable to younger audiences. Though the true message of Into the Woods is loud and clear to every adult and parent in the au dience it also offers a sincere message to children as well.&rdquo\;\n&n bsp\;\nInto the Woods \;premiered on Broadway in 1987 at the Martin Beck Theatre starring Bernadette Peters\, Chip Zien\, Joanna Gleason\, K im Crosby and Robert Westenberg.
