Colder in Cumming Than in Antarctica?
The area is feeling some of the most frigid temps in a decade.
Yes. It's brutally cold.
The Rob Show, @therobshow, on Twitter pointed out this morning at 2:30 that it was 5 degrees in Cumming, which was colder than in Antarctica at the South Pole. Not only was it colder, it felt colder.
About 11:30 a.m., the mercury in Cumming registered 13 degrees with a wind chill of 3, according to the Weather Channel. It was 29 in Antarctica and felt like 16.
The high today in Cumming is expected to reach about 22, but it will feel more like 13.
Frost bite and hypothermia are likely if precautions are not taken, according to the National Weather Service.
