Forsyth Board of Commissioners, School Board Meet Tonight

Forsyth County's Animal Control Board also has a called meeting tonight in Cumming.

Three Forsyth County government meeting are on tap for today, Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, in Cumming:

  • The Animal Control Board has a called meeting at 7:30 p.m. to conduct review hearings on the classifications of two animals as dangerous, according to the agenda. It meets at the Forsyth County Senior Center at Charles Place, 595 Dahlonega St. in Cumming.

  • The Board of Commissioners' regular meeting is set for 5 p.m. While a public hearing on a rezoning application with a variance is expected, the board also is set to consider several other rezoning applications for residential developments and other items, according to the agenda, above. The board meets at the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Suite 220, in Cumming.

  • The Forsyth County school board is set to meet at 6 p.m. for regular business and will consider a second draft of proposed redistricting lines and learn the timeline for naming a new elementary school, among other items, according to the agenda. It meets at the Forsyth County Board of Education and Professional Development Center, 1120 Dahlonega Highway in Cumming.
