Highway 369 Work in Forsyth To Close Lane, Shoulder

Expect delays as a lane and shoulder of the roadway close and a pilot vehicle leads traffic through the work zone.

The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced routine maintenance activities planned for this week in Forsyth and surrounding counties, if weather permits.

Most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures, according to the press release. The following is a tentative schedule; if emergency response is needed at a crash scene or if emergency repairs are necessary this schedule will change.

Forsyth: A crew will mow the slopes along State Route 369, a lane and shoulder of the roadway will be closed as the work occurs. A pilot vehicle will lead traffic through the work zone and delays are expected. Another crew will repair potholes in SR 369 and SR 400, removing the damaged asphalt and replacing it with new asphalt. A lane closure is required as this work occurs and delays are expected.

Vegetation will be trimmed in the rights-of-way alongside SR 316 and damaged asphalt will be removed and repaired on SR 20. A lane closure will be required as the roadway is repaired.

Hall: A crew will mow the slopes alongside SR 369, a lane and shoulder of the roadway will be closed as this work occurs. A pilot vehicle will lead traffic through the work zone and delays are expected. Faded roadway striping on SR 11 will be restriped, which requires a lane closure as work occurs.

Crews are set to work through Friday, Dec. 20, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., if weather permits. Lane closures are required for patching asphalt, and a flagman or pilot vehicle will direct traffic through the work zone.

Motorists should reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
