Low Temp of 27 Ushers Another Freeze Warning for Cumming

The warning is in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday through 9 a.m. Thursday for the majority of north and central Georgia, including Forsyth County.

Bundle up again, Cumming, as tonight's low is expected to dip to 27, according to the National Weather Service, which has issued another freeze warning for the majority of north and central Georgia, including Forsyth County.

The freeze warning, in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday through 9 a.m. Thursday, warns of frigid temps that could damage sensitive outdoor plants and advises those who will be spending time outside to dress accordingly to stay warm—in layers and covering any exposed skin from the wind.

The powerful blast of Arctic air overwhelming the southern and eastern U.S. is leading to widespread well-below-average temperatures, according to the Weather Channel.

In Cumming, expect a low of 27 tonight with clear skies and a calm wind, the NWS' forecast says. The high Thursday is expected to reach 56.
