Wind Chill Values a Hazard Tonight, In the Morning

The National Weather Services has issued an advisory for north Georgia.

Most of north Georgia will be under a wind chill advisory that warns of dangers if precautions are not taken.

In effect from 9 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday for a number of counties, including Forsyth, it warns of wind chill readings from zero to -10.

Temps from 6 to 15 will combine with northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph to create low wind chills, which can cause frost bite and hypothermia, the advisory says.

Tonight's low in Cumming will dip to 9 and it will feel like -2, according to The Weather Channel.

Those who must go outside should wear a hat and gloves, according to the NWS.
