NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) offers Support and Education

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) offers two support groups: Connections group for individuals living with a mental illness and Family Support group for family members.  Meetings are at 7:00 pm the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at Forsyth County Senior Center, 595 Dahlonega Highway, Cumming, GA.  For more information contact: ohughie9@att.net or 678-341-9414.  

Also, free Educational Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesdays of each month at United Way, 240 Elm Street, Cumming, GA 30040.  August 19th our speaker will be Dr. Scott Friedman, Psy.D. of Atlanta Area Psychological Associates, P.C., discussing Anxiety Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). He will also be sharing what type of counseling and therapy is available at this time and how families can help. For more information contact: ohughie9@att.net or 678-341-9414.
