From the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office:
TRAFFIC ALERT FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 1, 2014; CUPCAKE 15K AND 5K.
Starting at 7:00 a.m., the inside lanes on Peachtree Parkway (southbound and northbound) at The Collections will be closed for a 15K Run and a 5K Run. The 5K Run will go south on 141 and will turn around at Diplomat Drive while the 15K Run will go south on 141 and will turn around near Brookwood Drive and Mathis Airport Parkway and both will return to The Collections area.
During the race Forsyth County Sheriff's Office deputies will be working traffic at all the intersections and along the race route.
Please allow extra time during the morning.
Editor's Note: In 2013, the Cupcake Road Race raised $14,000 for The Place of Forsyth, which supports the hungry and less fortunate in Forsyth
County.
