Viewfinder: Aero Design Competition Comes to Cumming
The three day competition between 75 university and college teams brings nine different countries together for the Aero Design East 2012 Competition.
This weekend, teams from all over the world came to the to begin competing in the SAE Aero Design Challenge.
The competition includes teams from China, India, Turkey, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Poland, Puerto Rico and the United States. Competitors design and build their own planes in hopes of placing first when they compete at the Georgia Model Aviators airfield in Ball Ground today.
The event is sponsored by Lockheed Martin and SAE International.
