Area Roads Fill with Cyclists Saturday

The Young Survival Coalition Tour de Pink starts at 7:30 a.m. at the amphitheater, but with routes reaching 62 and 100 miles, watch out for bicycles all over the communities.

Roads in the nearby Alpharetta and Milton area will be filled with more bicycles than normal on Saturday morning as the Young Survival Coalition holds its Tour de Pink to raise funds and awareness for those diagnosed with breast cancer.

The day begins and ends at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park on Saturday, Sept. 29, starting at 7:30 a.m. Look for the distinctive pink Tour de Pink signs that dot the various routes through the area.

Tour De Pink will allow participants to ride from 1 to 100 miles from short family rides and a survivor loop to professionally designed routes intended for advanced cyclists.  (Cyclists will know the longest routes by their other names – Metric Centure (62 miles) and Century (100 miles).
