Blood Drives Continue in Forsyth County

As Red Cross Month continues, consider becoming an everyday hero and donate blood this week in Forsyth County.

The need for blood never ends, it's always constant. Someone, somewhere has to have blood, from cancer patients and accident victims, to premature babies and those with blood disorders. According to the American Red Cross, someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds.

As Red Cross Month continues, consider becoming an everyday hero and donate blood at one of the following locations in Forsyth County.

Thursday, March 21

Lambert High School located at 805 Nichols Road, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Friday, March 22

Northside Hospital-Forsyth located at 1200 Northside Forsyth Drive, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, March 23

Cumming First United Methodist Church located at 770 Canton Highway, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Friday, March 29

Cumming Public Library located at 585 Dahlonega Street, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday, March 30

Christ Community Church located at 5455 Campground Road, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt first proclaimed March Red Cross Month in 1943. Since that time, every president, including President Barack Obama, has designated March as Red Cross Month. The organization has been helping people for more than 130 years.
