Where/When: Adventure Kids, 4335 Bethelview Rd., Cumming. Hours are Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Sunday 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Why Go: Features the largest sandbox in Georgia with playgrounds, slides, inflatables, and plasma cars!
Pricing: $5 per child, parents and infants are always free.
Forsyth County Fire Department Safety Poster Contest
Where/When: Submissions due by March 18, Fire Department of Forsyth County

Why Go: Your third-grade child has the opportunity to win a pizza party for their class, and educate the public about the importance of fire safety in Forsyth County. This contest is open to all third grade public, private and homeschooled students. Posters should be created on paper (minimum dimensions of 8.5” by 11” and maximum dimensions of 18” by 24”) with the release form securely attached to the back. The release form and other contest information can be found on the Fire Department page of the Forsyth County Web site at forsythco.com. Submissions on poster board will not be accepted.

Where/When: Barnes and Noble Bookstore, The Avenue Forsyth, during store hours this weekend Friday – Sunday.
Why Go: Forsyth County Schools' Special Education Department will be hosting the annual Exceptional Child Bookfair, February 26 to March 4, 2011. Each day features free events and activities for students and parents, and showcases outstanding student performances and demonstrations, as well as, author signings and readings.
Pricing: Price of books and merchandise varies.
Atlanta Thrashers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs “Zoo Atlanta /Georgia Aquarium Kids Day”
Where/When: Phillips Arena, Atlanta, Sunday, Feb. 27, 5 p.m.
Why Go: The Thrashers always promise “A Brutally Good Time” and this weekend is no exception! Receive Zoo Atlanta and Georgia Aquarium passes for each ticket purchased. Visit the Kid Zone located inside the Phillips Experience for some hands-on fun for the little ones.
