Forsyth County Residents Feel the Chill Today

Do you see the signs of the chilly weather today? Take a photo or a video and post it here.

Brrr! It's freezing outside, literally. And it will be for most of the day. Late last night a few snow flurries fell in north Forsyth County, but not enough to stick for very long and wind gusts were blowing up to 35 mph.

When you got up this morning it was 20 degrees. And the wind? That's making it feel like 7 degrees.

The high today won't go much above freezing, reaching 33 degrees according to WeatherBug. And the 11 mph wind out of the northwest will make it feel like 23 degrees.

Weather forecasters (and Mom) say you should wear gloves and a hat today. Don't forget a shirt or blouse, pants, shoes, socks and even a jacket, too.

You can leave the sunblock at home, as the UV Index at noon will be 2, which forecasters assure us is low.

Today, Tuesday, Jan. 3, will be sunny with a high in the mid-30s. Winds will be out of the northwest at 10-15 mph and that will create a wind chill of around 10 degrees. The low will be 19 degrees tonight and the sky will be clear. The wind speed will drop a little bit, but will remain northwest at around 10 mph.

On Wednesday morning the low will be just as low, at 19 degrees. Fortunately for us, the high will rebound a bit more, reaching 47 degrees. By Friday it will be unseasonably warm with a high of 63 degrees.
