Forsyth 'Forbes' 7th Fastest Growing County in Nation

Hey Cumming, what do you think of living in one of America's fastest growing counties, most of which are found in the 'burbs?

Forsyth County is the one of the fastest growing counties in the nation, according to Forbes magazine.

It published the results of an analysis by demographer Wendell Cox of the counties with populations over 100,000 that have gained the most new residents since 2010. Forsyth is seventh on the Top 10 list.

It's ranked after three Texas counties—Williamson, Midland and Hayes, and with two in Virginia, Loudon and Prince William, the latter of which tied with Montgomery County, Tennessee. Osceola County, Florida came in at No. 10.

At No. 7, Forsyth, with a population of nearly 188,000, grew 7.07 from 2010 to 2012, according to Forbes.

"Of course, we all knew this because of traffic," was the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office's take on the news, according to a Facebook post.
