Forsyth Preschool Teacher Wins $1M in Georgia Lottery
Judy Pelham purchased the winning million dollar ticket at Save Money Food Mart in Cumming.
One Forsyth County preschool teacher will be heading back to school with a few more dollars in her bank account after winning a $1 million prize.
Judy Pelham of Cumming played the Georgia Lottery instant game 'Georgia Lottery Black' and won a $1 million top prize.
The 56-year-old mother of three adult children and six grandchildren claimed her prize Wednesday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth, a press release stated.

She purchased the winning million-dollar ticket at Save Money Food Mart, located at 3671 Hutchinson Road in Cumming.
“I’ve had luck with it in the past,” said Pelham.

Pelham scratched the ticket at home with her daughter and described the winning moment as “noisy.”
“We were screaming,” she said. “I feel pretty good, pretty excited.”
Pelham and her husband, Carlos, have not yet decided on what to do with their windfall.
