Forsyth Senior Services Hosting Summer Dance, Chili Cook-Off

Event to be held at Sexton Hall Enrichment Center on June 21.

Forsyth County Senior Services is kicking off the summer season with a “You Can’t Stop the Heat” Summer Dance and Chili Cook-Off for adults ages 40 and older.

The dance and chili cook-off will be held at the Sexton Hall Enrichment Center from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, as the third event of the bimonthly dance series in 2014 hosted by Senior Services.

The dance will feature live music by the Sounds of Sawnee Jazz Band. The cost is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. In addition to the chili cook-off, light refreshments are included in the admission price. Entry to the dance is free for those registering and entering the cook-off.

“Our dances in the bimonthly dance series continue to be popular and well attended,” said Senior Services Director Judy Theilman in a news release. “We are looking forward to adding an exciting chili cook-off to this dance.”
