Forsyth Senior Services Looking for Holiday Gift Angels

The annual program helps bring holiday cheer to local seniors.

Help spread seasonal cheer and be a holiday angel to a local senior citizen by taking part in the 2012 Holiday Gift Angels Program presented by Forsyth County Senior Services.

“The Holiday Gift Angels Program is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our seniors and also spread holiday cheer,” said Senior Services Manager Valerie Rhoads in a press release.

“The gifts help remind our senior citizens that someone is thinking about them during the holiday season.”

Last year, 230 local seniors received Christmas gifts through the Holiday Gift Angels Program.

The gift request tags from senior citizens are now available at the following Forsyth County Senior Services locations:

  • Center at Charles Place, 595 Dahlonega Street
  • Hearthstone Lodge Community Center, 7305 Lanier Drive
  • Sexton Hall Enrichment Center, 2115 Chloe Road

Each gift request tag contains the name of a local senior citizen along with a gift idea for him/her. Those participating in the program may deliver the unwrapped gift in a gift bag with the gift request tag (or another tag with the senior’s name and route number) attached to any of the three Forsyth County Senior Services locations weekdays until Dec. 7 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Call Forsyth County Senior Services at 770.781.2178 to receive additional information about the 2012 Holiday Gift Angels Program.
