Frost Advisory Friday for Forsyth County

The advisory is effective from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday.

A frost advisory is set for portions of northern and western Georgia, including Forsyth County, early Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Effective from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, it warns temperatures could dip into the low 30s and frost can be expected overnight.

"Cool, dry pressure will continue to build in the area into Friday, resulting in clear skies and light winds," the advisory says. "Temperatures overnight will drop into the mid 30s across north and central Georgia and into the low 30s in the northern and western portions of the state."

A frost advisory means freezing temperatures are forecast to threaten sensitive outdoor plants.

Friday's high should reach the high 60s and plenty of sunshine.
