Kittens, Dogs Up for Adoption at Humane Society of Forsyth County

Here are the latest animals up for adoption at the Humane Society of Forsyth County.

Adam aka Lock is a handsome black, 12-week-old kitten who does not know the meaning of slow. He is constantly on the go, playing with his brother and sister. He loves to climb all over you and anything that gets in his way. He has mastered the high jump, so he is always the one who ends up with the toy. Are you the playful home for him?

Rufus is a male Hound/Lab mix with an estimated date of birth of Nov. 6, 2010.  Look at his smile; how could you say no? He is a bit shy, but it doesn't take him long to trust you. He could so easily become your best friend. Won't you give him a chance?

Darrin is another 12-week-old kitten who was rescued with his mom, brother and sister before he was a week old. He loves climbing on most anything, chasing the laser light and playing with the feathered toys in my foster home. He hope to find his forever home soon. Who will take him home?

Shanna Rose is a female Pointer/Boxer mix with an estimated date of birth of Oct. 30, 2011. She is a very affectionate girl, and her tongue doesn't quit. She loves to play and explore, but when the day is done she curls up next to you on the couch and snoozes.

She is currently going through the last few weeks of heartworm treatment, but she doesn't let that slow her down a bit. She is still very much a puppy and will play especially if other young dogs are around to keep her busy. When she is ready to cuddle you have to vie for positions on the couch, as she likes to claim as much space as possible just so you will have to cuddle, then she will snuggle up and snooze in your arms.

If any of these animals capture your heart, call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at (770) 887-6480.
