Man's Best Friend Friday
Dog adoptions Saturday from noon until 4 p.m. at Petco, 2345 Market Place Boulevard in Cumming.
Fern is a Beagle mix with an estimated date of birth of June 8, 2010. Fern gets along great with other dogs and loves children. She is a sweet lady who would make a wonderful addition to your family.
Meet Allie, she's a 4-year-old lab mix with a date of birth of Oct. 2, 2008. She weighs in around 40 pounds so she's not that big. Her daddy just went off to college and his parents aren't in a position to take care of her right now so we are looking for a forever home for this sweet girl. She is good with dogs and didn't have a problem around the cats at the shelter, she was curious though. We know she is great with kids as well.

The next Rescue Walker orientations will be on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Adoption Center of the Humane Society of Forsyth County. - The Humane Society of Forsyth County, the No-Kill Shelter, will celebrate National Cat Day, Monday, Oct. 29, with a terrific sale. For one day only, all cats and kittens will be just $45 each or two for $65.00! If you have room in your heart for one (or two) of them, stop by the HSFC shelter at 4440 Keith Bridge Road in Cumming. - The HSFC announces a new adoption venue for dogs at the Lakewood 400 Antiques Market (1321 Atlanta Highway in Cumming). On the third Saturday of each month, the Humane Society hosts dog adoptions – dates for 2012 are: Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15.
