Meet Kacey, a Sweet Dog Looking for a Running or Hiking Buddy

Kacey, along with Dixie, Snickers and Gracie are all waiting for their "forever home" at the Humane Society of Forsyth County.

Kacey is a female American Staffordshire Terrier with an estimated birth date of Nov. 28, 2010. She is a very sweet dog with people but would prefer being the only animal. Kacey has a lot of energy and would be great with a running or hiking buddy for someone. Kacey has been in boarding for far too long and is desperately seeking a family to call her very own.

Brittany, aka Dixie, is a female Beagle with an estimated birth date of Nov. 1, 2012. Dixie is as laid back as they come. At each adoption event she is mellow and just sits back to let everyone pet her. Some of her favorite things are play time with friends, nap time, and cuddling.  Dixie loves other dogs and all people.

Snickers is a handsome orange tabby looking for his forever home. One minute he was in my own home, with his friend, Gracie, and the next minute they were being tossed out of a car window. Is that any way to treat an animal who loves you? A Good Samaritan found the cats and took them to the shelter. Both cats de-clawed, so they would not have lasted very long out there alone. Snickers remains a sweet cat and still loves people, despite how he was treated. He is affectionate and loving and would make the perfect cat for you. With no claws,  your furniture is completely safe.

Gracie, is a beautfiul de-clawed female about 9 years old. She is a gorgeous calico and a sweet girl, so it's hard to understand why she and her friend Snickers were thrown out of a car window and left to fend for themselves! Gracie is a little on the shy side, but that's understandable after what she's been through. It takes a while for her to warm up to people, but if you are the right person who will be kind and gentle and patient,  Gracie will reward you with a lifetime of love!

A favorite quote from one of our board members is,

We are only limited in the number of animals we can help by three things: money, volunteers and space.

A strong Foster Program addresses the space limitation. We receive new calls daily from owners needing to surrender their pets, kind hearted individuals who have taken in a stray, and caring animal control workers hoping to avoid euthanizing dogs or cats in their overcrowded county shelters. A strong Foster Program addresses the space limitation and saves lives.
